Today at church my roommate and I were sitting together by a pew near the door. Just before the meeting started he told me that he would be right back and stepped out the door. A few seconds later a cute girl walks in the door and asks me if the seat next to me was open, and being the great roommate I am I said yes. The look of betrayal on my roommate’s face was priceless...but I know he would have done the same to me!

Poor guy. He's trying to be nice and show you around, and that's how you repay his kindness! Watch out, he's already served a mission and can marry any girl you start liking.
Those are the ugliest pews I've ever seen. Then again, pew is an ugly word. So I guess they should be ugly.
And good job on giving up your seat. You're right, he would have done the same. :)
