Wednesday April 8, 2009 my mission call came. Excited does not begin to describe how I felt. Lisbon Portugal, what a fantastic surprise. It is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and has a wonderful climate, averaging 50 in winter and 85 in summer.

THANK YOU for posting that video so fast! I could not be happier for you!! I got all teary eyed watching this video and reliving the moment. You are going to be an amazing missionary and I think you will love Portugal! I read all about it last night and it sounds like an incredible place. And I LOVE that you and Reed will have the same mission language! Awesome! Missions in Europe have their own wonderful challenges - and I'm glad we will share that bond.

Congratulations Blake! I'm so glad we were able to listen to you read your call. Portugal looks so beautiful. It will be fun for you, Reed & Scott to be able to speak to each other in two languages.
